Website Link

Gary and Karen reviewed all of the online features and some upcoming things with us. Some of those items are listed below.

Overdrive - allows for the downloading of e-books and Audio books. You can get free apps for IPOD, IPAD and computers or Android Phones or you can download these books to the new e-book readers that are becoming more popular

Ancestry.ca - search your genealogy online. Currently this is available only at the Library but hopefully it will be online soon

iBistro Searchable directory on the website gives you a number of ways to find books of interest. You can even make comments and rate books you have read and find readers with similar interests. Most listings also feature a picture of the book cover.

There are specific pages on the site for children teen's and adults to find information tailored to their interests as well.

You can find out if a book is available and reserve online and also opt in to the e-notice that reminds you your book is due in 3 days. This has resulted in a loss of revenue for the Library as more books are now returned on time.

Learn a new language
- the library now has an online resource that allows you to learn a new language. Great for brushing up before your vacation.
