When John did the 50/50 draw, Lisa Wells won and pulled the king of diamonds.

Youth Co. Report: Francis reported that Maria had had a good week and had made another batch of cinnamon buns which she had donated to the auction. Francis expects to be able to tell us next week who will be next year’s outbound student.

The Dec. Pod reported via Lisa that the Christmas Dinner, Dec.16, 6 pm, will be in the regular downstairs room at the Quality Inn, with a superior buffet dinner. Brad Jansen, a popular Woodstock emcee, will provide entertainment of a trivia and humour sort. Lisa asked those coming to sign up. next Monday’s meeting is the deadline.

The Christmas Ham Project reported through John Currie. Already 20 hams have been ordered, either smoked as last year or black forest style. Next meeting is the deadline to order. They cost $25 each and will be delivered Dec.13.

The Dictionary Co. reported via Bob Reid. All have been distributed for the year.

Ron turned the meeting over to James Stuart who introduced Glen, our auctioneer. There were many interesting and varied items spread out on two long tables. Amongst them were Maria’s 6 1/2 dozen cinnamon buns, Graham’s varied homemade jams  and wine, Hazel’s platter of Christmas baking, Several intriguing wrapped baskets and a barn board angel. Of course there were many kinds of alcoholic refreshments, clothing – several hats modelled by James were quite fetching!!!, and other items too difficult to describe. Glen made paying for each item almost a pleasure. Hey, it all went to a great cause: helping our less fortunate friends in Mexico.

Once again, we had fun and fundraised successfully.

President Ron closed the meeting a few minutes later than usual but not bad.
